PRODUCTION OF ECO-FRIENDLY ADHESIVES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Project Overview

The project aims to develop and characterize bio-based adhesives from renewable materials—specifically, starch sourced from finger millet & sweet potatoes, and gelatin from hides—modified with sustainable synthetic polymers, such as polylactic acid (PLA). This aligns with the national objective of promoting local content, sustainable production, and import substitution in the adhesive industry.
