CHARACTERIZATION OF NIGERIAN K-FELDSPAR FOR THE FOR THE FILLERS/EXTENDERS INDUSTRY

K-feldpar is a key industrial mineral used as filler, extender and flux in ceramics, glass, paints, plastics and rubber industries. the project aims to collect and characterize k-feldsper from six Nigerian states to evaluate their quality and suitability for industrial applications, while updating the Councils mineral data base while Flouride, also non as fluorspar, in an essential raw material in steelmaking, aluminium smelting and chemical industries. This project seeks to collect, characterize and analyze flourite samples.
