In alignment with the Council’s mandate to promote industrialization, value addition, and efficient utilization of Nigeria’s raw materials, the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) initiated the design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures for small-scale hammer mill manufacturing.
The project is aimed at enhancing manufacturing productivity, improving operational accuracy, and ensuring consistent product quality in agro-processing machinery. By developing locally fabricated jigs and fixtures, the initiative reduces reliance on imported components and supports the local industrial ecosystem.
This initiative also aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes economic diversification, job creation, and industrial growth, positioning Nigeria to better harness its agro-industrial potential.
Implementation Period: October 2025 – October 2026
Location: Research and Demonstration Plant Complex (RDPC), Abuja
Status: Ongoing (30% Completed)
Expected Impact:
Improved efficiency and quality in local hammer mill production.
Job creation and skill development in local manufacturing.
Enhanced value addition and utilization of agro raw materials.
