ISO/IEC 17025 ACCREDITATION OF RMRDC LABORATORY

Project Overview

The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) laboratory achieved a major institutional milestone with the award of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation by the Nigerian National Accreditation System (NiNAS) on November 16, 2024. This internationally recognized accreditation confirms that the RMRDC laboratory operates in full compliance with global standards for testing and calibration laboratories.

The accreditation was granted following a series of rigorous assessments and conformity evaluations, which validated the laboratory’s technical competence, quality management system, and commitment to accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement.

This achievement underscores RMRDC’s dedication to enhancing the quality assurance framework for Nigeria’s raw materials research and testing infrastructure. It further strengthens the Council’s mandate to promote value addition, industrial standardization, and competitiveness of locally sourced raw materials.

The accredited laboratory now serves as a trusted national reference point for testing, quality validation, and certification of industrial raw materials and products, supporting both public and private sector stakeholders across Nigeria.
