The Director-General of the Raw Materials Research and Development, RMRDC, Dr. HussainiDoko Ibrahim in furtherance of the Council’s efforts to ensure that it fulfills its mandate of developing the nation’s raw materials by providing proper training opportunities to interested members of the public, has in collaboration with the High Tech Centre for Nigerian Women and Youth organized a two days Hands-on-Training Workshop on Solar Panel Assembling in the Council’s auditorium.

The event which held on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th February, 2019 had several women and youth in attendance.

The representative of the of the Director-General, the Director of the Planning and Policy Development Department (PPDD, Mrs. Hajara Y. Tanko while addressing the participants said that the training workshop was designed to expose the participants in the necessary skills required to assemble solar panels in order to harness the nation’s solar energy as an alternative to electrical power supply. She said the training workshop will make the participants solution providers in addressing the challenge of incessant power interruptions in their various communities.
