The Director General Raw Materials Research and Development Council Dr. Hussaini Doko Ibrahim has been honoured Fellow of the Institute of Quality Assurance of Nigeria (IQAN). The DG represented by the Director Technology Development Department, Dr. M. L. Buga received the certificate of honour at the Council Headquarters, Abuja on 18th October, 2016.

Presenting the certificate of honour, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer IQAN, Mr. Victor Akpan who noted that being a Fellow of IQAN was the highest form of certification by the Institute, said the honour is in recognition of the immense contribution of the DG RMRDC to national growth and development.

According to him, Dr. Ibrahim is a trainer and a lover of knowledge which qualifies him as a promoter of quality. He said the honour was well deserved of the awardee.

The Registrar also used the forum to seek possible areas of collaboration between RMRDC and IQAN. He stated that the best of quality can be demonstrated tangibly - such as in raw materials development; in value addition to goods and services.

“With your support, the Institute will ensure that the development of quality culture for Nigeria in the future will be strategically structured to address deficiencies and dissatisfactions in all imported and produced goods and services in Nigeria” he said.

He further stated that “our belief therefore is that we can use quality to turn around the crumbling Nigeria economy into the most successful extraordinary strong global nation”.

In his response, the DG. RMRDC thanked IQAN for the honour bestowed on him. He said quality is essential in life; it is goods or services rendered in its fullness. That is why people seek quality always.

He briefed the guest on the activities and achievements of the Council and affirmed the Councils’ willingness to partner with any Institution or agency in the promotion of the RMRDC’s mandates.
