The management of CONTEC Global Agro Abuja paid a courtesy call to DG RMRDC, to explore avenues of collaboration on harnessing the large deposits of solid minerals such as gypsum, coal, columbine, granite and other minerals, towards the growth and sustainability of the Nigerian economy.

The delegation, led by the Managing Director of the company, Mr Thomas Chackunkal, also wants collaboration in the area of crop improvement for better productivity through the use of technology.

The DG RMRDC, Dr Hussaini Doko Ibrahim, expressed interest in their request and considered it timely, bearing in mind that the agricultural sector and the solid minerals sector are currently being boosted as economic paths that will lead the country off crude exports dependency.
